Kathryn Ryan, Sr. Director of Comms + PRAt WIRED Health 2025, Ara Katz, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Seed Health, took us beyond the buzzwords and into the heart of the microbiome revolution. Ara’s work is at the cutting edge of microbiome science, transforming how we think about human health and our relationship with the environment. 

As a pioneer in the field, Ara and Seed Health are focused on developing living medicines and probiotics that influence not only human health but also the planetary ecosystem. Her session explored how our microbiome, the trillions of bacteria and microbes within our bodies, is not just key to gut health but also essential in shaping mental health, immunity, and even our identities.




Project OverviewIn early fall 2025, I had the opportunity to design the presentation for Seed founder Ara Katz's keynote at WIRED Health 2025 in Boston. I led the visual storytelling for her talk, which explored how the human microbiome—the trillions of bacteria and microbes that live within us—is not only fundamental to gut health, but also plays a critical role in shaping mental health, immunity, and even our identies.
